I needed abit of a rest after two days of lo9ngboard windsurfing !!! So as I have some photo's featured in the Essex life May magazine Mag and I decided to head into Essex to buy a copy :) So after breakfast at a windy Levington watching the yachts set sail for the days racing we drove the 40 mile along the A12 to Earls Colne where I managed to buy my mag from the Co-op where we parked before setting off on a 4 mile walk.It was a lovelly quiet walk in the Colne Valley, firstly along a disused railway line,to White Colne, then along the bank of the River Colne stopping for a picnic lunch and on to the very nice Chalkney wood which would have looked fantastic a few weeks ago as is full of bluebells !!! and back past Earls Colne church to our van.We then drove to Chappel for tea and cake and walk to the very impressive viadut !!! Then home stopping off at The Dip where three mates had been on a longboard cruise down the coast in the offshore wind !!!
